WHO WE ARE

Rooted in Texas. Powered by Nature.

At Vermi Texas, we turn organic waste into high-quality vermicompost through a natural and carefully controlled process. Our mission is simple: improve soil health, boost crop productivity, and support more sustainable agriculture across Texas. This approach helps reduce the cost of pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides, while supporting farmers and growers across the United States.

WHAT IS VERMICOMPOST?

Vermicompost is a natural, organic soil amendment produced by earthworms and beneficial microorganisms. Unlike chemical fertilizers, it works with the soil—not against it.

  • Improves soil structure and aeration

  • Increases water retention

  • Reduce the cost of pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides

  • Enhances nutrient availability

  • Supports healthy microbial life

OUR COMPOSTING PROCESS
from organic matter to living soil

  • Mesophilic Phase: Beneficial aerobic bacteria begin breaking down organic material, generating heat and preparing it for deeper decomposition.

  • Thermophilic Phase: High temperatures (ranging from 120°F to 155°F / 49°C to 68°C) allow thermophilic microorganisms to break down tougher organic matter while eliminating harmful pathogens.

  • Cooling Phase: As carbon and nitrogen are consumed, temperatures decrease and mesophilic organisms return to further stabilize the material.

  • Maturation Phase: Biological activity slows, fungi and beneficial microbes flourish, and the compost reaches full maturity—stable, safe, and ready for use.
